Recent Radio Research carried out by Radio Network in August 2004 shows that 35% of Internet radio listeners tune in at work and also at home. Almost 40% of people also say that 5 or more of their friends also listen to radio via the Internet each week.
Almost 45% of people surveyed had an income of over £35,000 per annum. Advertising Association (EIAA), the pan-European trade organisation for sellers of interactive media, reveals a rise in the amount of time people spend online with the Internet now accounting for 20% of Europeans' media consumption. Research sponsored by Saatchi & Saatchi shows that radio achieves the greatest recall of all media, with the strongest memory retention of not only brand and company but also specific selling points.

I remember vividly people saying that the advent of television would spell the end for radio. How wrong that has proved to be!
